1. Who these terms cover

These terms apply to driving tuition provided by Trueway Driving School (“we”, “us”), Leicester. By booking a lesson you agree to them. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

2. Before your first lesson

• You must hold a valid UK provisional driving licence and bring it to your first lesson. We cannot teach you without it.
• You must be able to read a number plate from 20 metres (with glasses or contact lenses if you need them).
• Tell us about any medical condition or medication that could affect your driving — it's almost never a barrier, but we need to know.

3. Bookings and payment

• Single lessons are booked online through our booking system (Cal.com) and paid at the time of booking by card (processed by Stripe). A booking is confirmed once payment has gone through.
• Lesson blocks (for example the £225 introductory block) are paid once, up front, and the individual lessons are then scheduled with your instructor.
• Prices are as shown on the website at the time of booking.
• All lesson prices include pick-up and drop-off. Your pick-up location is agreed at the time of booking — please tell us then, not on the day.

4. Cancellations and rescheduling

• You can cancel or reschedule any lesson free of charge with at least 48 hours' notice.
• With less than 48 hours' notice, the full lesson fee is due (or one lesson is deducted from your block). A slot cancelled late can very rarely be offered to another learner.
• If we have to cancel — illness, vehicle trouble, or conditions we judge unsafe (for example ice or dense fog) — your lesson is rescheduled at no cost, or refunded if you prefer.
• This policy is also shown when you book and in your confirmation email.

5. Lateness

• We'll wait 15 minutes at the agreed pickup point. After that the lesson is treated as a late cancellation. Time lost to lateness comes out of the lesson.
• If we're ever late to you, the time is added back or the difference refunded — your choice.

6. Lesson blocks

• Blocks are valid for 12 months from purchase. Unused lessons after that date expire.
• Blocks are for one named learner and can't be transferred or shared.
• We don't refund unused lessons in a block (including the £225 introductory block) — instead, they're rescheduled. Any lesson you can't make moves to a time that suits you, with the usual 48 hours' notice, so nothing you've paid for is lost.

7. Safety and conduct

• The car has dual controls and your instructor may use them at any time for safety.
• We may end a lesson without refund if a learner is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or behaves abusively. It has never needed to happen — let's keep it that way.
• Lessons may be paused or rearranged where weather makes teaching unsafe; that's the instructor's call, and rearranged lessons cost nothing extra.

8. Driving tests

• You book your own theory and practical tests with the DVSA (GOV.UK). We'll tell you honestly when we think you're ready — and we'll say so plainly if we think a test date is too soon.
• The test day package (£100) includes pick-up and drop-off, a warm-up drive beforehand, use of the dual-controlled school car for the test itself, and the insurance cover for the test. It is subject to availability, so book it as soon as you have your test date.

9. Liability

The tuition vehicle is insured for driving tuition. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. We are not responsible for the cost of DVSA test fees lost for reasons outside our control (for example DVSA cancellations).
