Why automatic only?
In an automatic there's no clutch and no gears to juggle, so you can put all your attention on the road. Most learners find they're ready for their test sooner, and with more and more cars — especially electric ones — being automatic, it's the licence most people actually need.
I'm really nervous. Is that a problem?
Not at all — nervous learners are Saima's speciality. Lessons start somewhere quiet and only move on when you're comfortable. If you're anxious about even booking, start with the free 10-minute phone call. No car, no commitment, just a chat.
Do I need my provisional licence before my first lesson?
Yes — you must hold a provisional licence and bring it to your first lesson. Applying is straightforward on GOV.UK and costs £34 online. You can apply up to three months before your 17th birthday.

How many lessons will I need?
Everyone's different. DVSA figures suggest most new drivers need around 40–45 hours of professional tuition, but automatic learners often need fewer. After your first lesson, Saima will give you an honest estimate — no padding, no guesswork.
Can I use your car for my driving test?
Yes — the £100 test day package gives you a warm-up drive beforehand and the same Mercedes A-Class you've learned in for the test itself, with Saima there before and after. Familiar car, familiar routes, no surprises.
What's the cancellation policy?
Life happens — you can reschedule or cancel any lesson free of charge with at least 48 hours' notice. Less than 48 hours and the lesson fee is due, because that slot can rarely be refilled. The full policy is in our terms.
